The grief was devasting, hours of heart wrenching, body wracking sobs were experienced on a daily basis. Gradually around the 6 week mark the tears were drowning her for less than an hour a day.
Her amazing friends supported her when she had no idea what the purpose for life was, once again.
In January 2020 she decided it was time to move forward, and she revived her OKcupid dating profile which had laid dormant for 8+ years!
She asked for dating tips from friends and discovered new dating apps. The last time she was single and using online dating, there were no smart phones! Things had evolved a bit!
In February 2020 she had sex for the first time in over a year. It was then she realised it had been over 8 years since she'd had deeply satisfying sex!
She decided to stop compromising parts of who she is. She declared to the world that she would never again sacrifice the enjoyment of deeply satisfying sex.
This was the beginning of her journey in reconnecting the parts of herself she'd shut in a locked chest in the depths of her soul. Buried so deep, she'd even forgotten they were ever parts of her.
